Autumn is a beautiful time to take a drive, but each season has its perils. Know what fall driving hazards await you, and you’re one step closer to avoiding them. Fallen Leaves The first thing most people think of when they think of fall is, of course, the awe-inspiring array of foliage. But this vibrant, eye-catching delight can pose a danger on the road in two ways. First, it can be distracting. Second, when the leaves fall to the ground and mix with rain, you’ve got yourself a real slip trap. Rain alone poses a hydroplaning threat. Downed leaves create extra opportunities for losing traction, and they keep the moisture around longer. Not a cool combo.Fog and Frost The extra humidity combined with the changing temperature also creates perfect conditions f ... read more

Ever get musky odors coming from your car's air vents? It's fairly common for drivers. Moisture can accumulate in the air conditioning/heating ventilation system allowing mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria to grow. Disinfecting and deodorizing is a process. Depending on how bad the problem is, there are a couple of approaches InMOTION Auto Care may take to get rid of the unwanted smells. For mild situations (especially on newer vehicles), a special deodorizing disinfectant is introduced into the ventilation system. This may be an aerosol or a mist application. The treatment kills the offending organisms and deodorizes the system. Sometimes in older vehicles, a good deal of mildew or other microorganisms can grow on the air conditioning evaporator which is housed in the heating/air conditioning air blend box behind the dashboard. In cases like this, InMOTION Auto Care fills the blend box with disinfecting foam that can eliminate stubborn organisms and return a fresh, cle ... read more

We all know the old saying: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Well that becomes doubly true when it comes to maintaining your vehicle, and maintenance goes beyond changing your oil. Here are 10 things that you should keep an eye on to ensure that your vehicle keeps running smoothly. Fuel filter This is an item that’s probably as important as it is overlooked. For fuel-injected cars the fuel filter essentially runs continuously, preventing impurities from clogging injectors. So, over time, replacement will be necessary. Locations vary from beneath the hood or undercarriage to inside the fuel tank itself. Since systems are often pressurized and fuel lines need to be safely crimped, you might prefer to let a technician handle it. When to replace: Every 2 years or 24,000 miles. Power-steering fluid Things don’t get much simpler in vehicles than power steering fluid. That doesn’t mean you can ig ... read more
