Check engine light came on, went in to see what's wrong with it. They charge $150 diagnostic fee; they don't waive if the do the work is done there. They charge different diagnostic fee for different areas of the car, not inclusive. This is a scam and a waste of money in my opinion. If customer doesn't get the work done there, fine I agree with the charge, but it should be waived if work stays. They stated I need a new catalytic converter. I agree to the work, paid $2000 for it and was on my way. Few months later, check engine light came on again. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter. Yes, I was livid. I just replaced it! Excuses came flying, they explained we replaced Bank 1 and not Bank 2. It was never explained to me that there was two parts. I just threw good money away on a band aid fix. On a 14-year-old car, its recommended to replace both banks at the same time. At least I should of been given a choice and told and explained that this could happen. They put on a good show, took advantage of me. I did a review on their Facebook page as well. They deleted the post. Their rating is false, if they can delete negative reviews, then how can you trust them to do right by you?
Dear Michael. Thank you for your feedback. In February we diagnosed your check engine light to be a faulty catalytic converter. You declined the repairs at that time. You then stated that every since we diagnosed your check engine light it caused the sunroof to not open. We reprogrammed the sunroof position for you at no charge. Diagnosing check engine lights have nothing to do with sunroofs. But we took care of it for you. In September you had an issue with your cooling fans staying on. We agreed to waive the diagnostic fee just this once for you if you approved the repairs. You then approved the repairs for the coolant fans. You also decided to replace that catalytic converter that was diagnosed 7 months ago. We found out that we priced out the wrong oxygen sensors at that time in February. We honor our estimates for 30 days. In your case we decided to cover the extra cost of the oxygen sensors. It is now November and your check engine light came back on for a different issue. As I am sure you are aware there are many things that can go wrong on a vehicle. In this situation you have a similar, but different issue. We feel that we have been more then fair with you the entire time. At this point It is clear that we are not a good fit for you. I hope that you find a repair shop that better suits your needs.
